"Russians Need To Bring Putin To His Senses, Or Moscow Will Go Up In Flames"
Volodymyr Zelenskyy

Zelenskyy issued a new statement following a massive attack on the Russian capital.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russians should exert influence on Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin if they do not want the war to have further consequences.

According to RBC-Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made this statement to reporters.

What Zelenskyy said

The president emphasized that Ukraine continues to respond to Russian attacks and has no intention of tolerating strikes on its territory.

According to Zelenskyy, despite the reinforced air defense system around the Russian capital, Ukraine is capable of responding to the aggressor’s actions.

“We said we would get them. If Putin doesn’t want to end this war and wants to continue it, we won’t sit idly by—we’ll respond,” the president said.

He also recalled the Russian strike on the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and stated that Ukraine is preparing a response.

Moscow will feel the consequences of the war

The president emphasized that Ukraine did not seek war and does not want it to continue. At the same time, he noted that Russia will also bear the consequences of its own aggression.

“But if Ukraine burns, your Moscow will burn too,” Zelenskyy said.

He added that now is the time to end the war and put a stop to Russian aggression.

Zelenskyy addressed Russian citizens separately. In his view, Russians must also exert influence on their own leadership.

“That’s why, in my opinion, everyone needs to put pressure on Putin. Ukrainians must apply pressure, as must absolutely all Europeans and Americans—and it’s high time for Russians to come to their senses and put pressure on their own leader,” he said.
