The Lukashenko regime is preparing for a “potential escalation of aggression against Ukraine.”

Oleg Lugovsky, head of Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service, reported to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on “measures being implemented in Belarus under obvious Russian influence to prepare for a potential escalation of aggression against Ukraine.”

According to Ukrainian intelligence, on the Belarusian side of the border with Ukraine, “construction is nearing completion on road infrastructure and storage facilities for ammunition and fuel and lubricants that serve no purpose other than military ones.”

“These are the border sectors of Kobrin–Kovel, Ivanovo–Manevychi, Luninets–Sarny, Rechitsa–Korosten, and Gomel–Chernihiv. We know that Russian documents describe this specifically in the context of the objectives of the so-called ‘special military operation,’” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated on his Telegram channel.

He added that Belarus had received from Ukraine “the necessary signals regarding such activities, as well as all other forms of their collaboration with Russia aimed at prolonging and escalating the war.”

“Belarus knows what steps it needs to take to achieve peace. The development of border infrastructure for aggression on the part of Belarus must be stopped. Steps aimed at de-escalation and peace must be taken specifically by the Belarusian side,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
