Sobyanin sounded the alarm.
On the night of June 26, Moscow was once again attacked by unidentified drones. The drones were shot down both in the surrounding region and over the Russian capital itself.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine citing Russian Telegram channels.
According to posts by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, the attack on the Russian capital began around 2:30 a.m. Even then, he reported that air defense forces had allegedly shot down 10 drones flying toward the city.
After that, Sobyanin continued to post updates indicating that the drones had been neutralized. Moreover, some posts did not specify that the drones were “heading toward Moscow.” This, in turn, implies that the drones were being shot down directly over the Russian capital itself.
As of 3:39 a.m., according to Sobyanin, Russian air defense forces had allegedly already shot down 30 unmanned aerial vehicles. It is currently unknown whether there have been any consequences.
As a reminder, on the morning of June 18, Ukrainian drones launched a massive attack on Moscow.
