Ukraine's president called the Russian dictator's response weak.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has said that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's response to Vladimir Putin's open letter has once again confirmed the Kremlin's unwillingness to end the war.
He made this statement in an evening address on Friday, June 5.
"Unfortunately, the Russian side is again choosing war. Everyone heard today's answer," Zelensky said.
He called Putin's response weak.
"He just doesn't want to end the war. I think a lot of people in the world are disappointed with this answer. He doesn't want to change anything and doesn't want to admit that his war pleases only him and those who pull money from him - they were all very smiling today," the Ukrainian president said.
He said this means that Russia should have less money and more pressure on Russia.
"I thank everyone who is helping us! I thank everyone who is with Ukraine, who wants real peace," Zelensky concluded.
On the evening of June 4, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky published an open letter to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. In the letter, he stated that Russia is suffering serious losses on the frontline, while the Russians themselves are increasingly dissatisfied with Ukrainian drone attacks, gasoline shortages, constant bans, etc. Zelensky also noted that Ukraine proposes to end the war "in a format between you and us" and suggested that Putin meet and set a clear date for this. The Ukrainian president noted that other elected participants could join the bilateral track.
