Thousands of people took to the streets.

A rally is taking place in Kyiv near the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater in support of Ukraine’s Minister of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov, who was dismissed from office. The protesters disagree with the decision by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

This was reported by a correspondent for TSN.

According to reports from the scene, hundreds of people gathered at the rally.

Protesters are holding up cardboard signs with slogans such as: “Fedorov’s dismissal only benefits the Russians,” “Down with the Soviet mentality, bring back Fedorov,” “I see you have neither fish nor fowl among your ministers,” and others.

Rallies in support of Mykhailo Fedorov are taking place not only in the capital. In Lviv, people gathered at a monument, according to Oleksiy Molchanovsky, head of the Innovation Office at the Ukrainian Catholic University.

A protest against personnel changes in the Ministry of Defense took place in Odesa.

Protesters say they support keeping Fedorov in office and are calling on the authorities to reconsider the decision to dismiss him.

A protest has also begun in Shevchenko Park in Kharkiv.

According to local Telegram channels, participants also gathered to support Mykhailo Fedorov ahead of the Verkhovna Rada’s vote on his dismissal.

People are calling on members of parliament not to approve the dismissal of the defense minister.

A rally in support of Fedorov also took place in Cherkasy.

According to Obschestvennoe, about 30 residents gathered on Soborna Square. Before the rally began, participants observed a minute of silence in honor of Ukrainian soldiers who died in the war with Russia.

Afterward, the crowd expressed their opposition to Mykhailo Fedorov’s dismissal and called on the authorities not to change the leadership of the Ministry of Defense.

A peaceful rally in support of Fedorov is also taking place in Ivano-Frankivsk on the morning of July 16.

People gathered outside the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Military Administration building at 9:01 a.m., immediately following the nationwide minute of silence.

Ternopil has also joined the wave of protests sweeping across Ukraine. On the morning of July 16, people gathered outside the Ternopil Regional Military Administration building to express their support for Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.

Participants brought posters with slogans and calls not to dismiss Fedorov from his post.

A rally in support of Fedorov is also taking place in Zaporizhzhia. About 60 Zaporizhzhia residents voiced their opposition.

People in Mykolaiv also took to the streets in protest.

In Khmelnytskyi, a protest is also gaining momentum near Detsky Mir against Fedorov’s dismissal. As of 9:05 a.m. Minsk time, there were about 50 people.

As a reminder, it was reported yesterday that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had made a final decision regarding Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov. After meeting with him, the head of state dismissed Fedorov from his post as head of the Ministry of Defense. He cited a conflict with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky as the reason.
