A Pro-Russia MAGA Blogger Has Drastically Changed Her Views And Traveled To Ukraine

She responded to Simonyan and criticized many of her colleagues.

Well-known American MAGA blogger Laura Loomer, who previously held pro-Russian views, arrived in Ukraine and publicly responded to the remarks made by RT Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan, reports “Dialog”.

Earlier, Lumer admitted that she had gradually come to understand that Ukraine is defending values shared by Americans, while she herself had long been the target of Russian propaganda. Commenting on her arrival, she wrote that she is not in Russia precisely because she does not engage in propaganda.

Simonyan responded by stating that she expects Lumer to report from the Ukrainian capital.

In her reply, the blogger acknowledged that she had indeed written pieces for RT in 2021, but that she had since come to realize the destructive nature of Russian disinformation. According to her, part of the MAGA community has fallen victim to this propaganda aimed at weakening America—while Russia continues to kill Ukrainians who, as Lumer noted, are striving to help the U.S. establish its own production of drones and missiles to strengthen national security.

Lumer harshly criticized the Russian side, stating that Moscow has sided with Iran while simultaneously spreading conspiracy theories surrounding the Jeffrey Epstein case with the aim of undermining the presidency of Donald Trump. She also accused Russia of hypocrisy: the country portrays itself as a defender of Christian values, while at the same time being responsible for the deaths of many Christians and Ukrainians, and supports an ally whose supporters call for violence against the American president and the military. Separately, she mentioned Iran’s supply of missiles to Hezbollah and Hamas, which are directed against Israeli civilians, including American citizens.

In addition, the blogger stated that some of Trump’s American supporters have in fact been involved in promoting pro-Russian and anti-American narratives in the interests of Russia, Qatar, and Iran—a development which, according to her observations, Russian state media is openly pleased with, as it deepens the rift within the Republican Party.

Speaking about the trip itself, Lumer noted that the journey took about 30 hours due to the closure of Ukrainian airspace caused by Russia’s actions. She expressed her intention to show the American public and Trump supporters the true scale of Russian aggression and to warn that, in her view, without an awareness of this threat, America itself could become the next target.
