Belgorod, Rostov, And Engels Came Under Heavy Attack: A Military Unit Was On Fire

A video and details of the attacks have emerged.

Overnight, Russia came under attack once again from the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Explosions were heard in Belgorod, where logistics warehouses and energy facilities were attacked, as well as in Rostov, where a fire was reported following the strikes, according to OBOZ.UA.

Another fire—on the grounds of a military unit—also broke out in Engels, Saratov Oblast, Russian Federation; the fire occurred near the “Engels-2” military airbase. Details and footage from the scenes were compiled by the Exilenova+ Telegram channel.

Attack on Belgorod

Late yesterday, it was reported that a series of explosions rocked the Russian city of Belgorod. Smoke rose over the city in their wake.

“Belgorod has come under a massive UAV attack; logistics warehouses and energy infrastructure facilities are on fire in the city,” Exilenova+ reported shortly after midnight.

Videos posted online by Russians show powerful explosions.

Exilenova+ reports that logistics warehouses and the “Yuzhnaya” power substation were targeted in the city, and a strike was also carried out in the area of the “Luch” thermal power plant.

Attack on Rostov

It was also chaotic in Rostov last night. According to Exilenova+, Russian air defense systems added to the Russians’ sense of unease there as well.

A fire broke out in the city following the explosions.

A military base was on fire in Engels

In Engels, Saratov Oblast—from where Russian aircraft regularly take off to carry out strikes on Ukraine—a military base was on fire last night.

However, according to Exilenova+’s observations, local residents claim they did not hear any explosions and that one of the barracks on the facility’s grounds “simply caught fire.”

The fire broke out on the grounds of the former headquarters of the 22nd Guards Heavy Bomber Aviation Donbas Red Banner Division.

The attack was also confirmed by the independent Russian publication ASTRA.

“A military unit is likely on fire in Engels following a nighttime attack by Ukraine. After reviewing footage from eyewitnesses, an ASTRA OSINT analyst determined that a building on Engels-1 Street is on fire. A military unit is likely located in this building. A missile alert and a drone threat were announced overnight in the Saratov Region. However, an ASTRA subscriber from Engels did not hear any sounds of an attack and speculated that the fire was not related to Ukrainian strikes. Facilities of the “Engels-2” military airfield are located in the immediate vicinity of the burning building, they noted.
