That's not the only goal.
On the night of July 5, Ukrainian drones attacked the Gvardeyskoye airfield in Crimea. Russia uses it for combat missions, logistics, and aircraft maintenance.
This was reported with reference to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The General Staff noted that this airfield is one of Russia’s key military airfields in occupied Crimea. It is used to base operational-tactical and naval aviation, support combat sorties, and provide logistics and maintenance for aircraft.
Information on the extent of the damage is being clarified.
In addition, the Ukrainian military struck two road bridges in the Donetsk region: one across the Gruzsky Yalanchik River near Guselnikovo and one across the Kalmius River near Staromaryevka.
Russian troops had been using these structures to transport personnel, weapons, ammunition, and logistical supplies.
Three Russian ammunition depots were also targeted: in the Makiivka area of the Donetsk region, the Dovzhansk area of the Luhansk region, and the Preobrazhenka area of the Kherson region.
“The defense forces will continue to systematically carry out measures aimed at ending the Russian Federation’s armed aggression against Ukraine,” the General Staff concluded.
In addition, last week, as part of a 40-day operation, the SBU struck a command post for attack drones in Mykolaiv Oblast, fuel depots in Crimea, and a communications hub near Huliaipole.
Also, on the night of July 1, SBU drones struck hangars containing Russian fighter jets at the Saki airfield in occupied Crimea. Five hits were confirmed there, and according to preliminary data, two of the hangars housed Su-30 and Su-30SM aircraft.
On July 3, SBU drones attacked “Saki” for the second time in a week and struck hangars at the “Gvardeyskoye” airfield. According to preliminary information, at least seven aircraft were destroyed or damaged.
