Forbes: Wildberries Founder Loses Nearly 40% Of Her Fortune

Due to Ukrainian strikes on warehouses.

Wildberries founder Tatiana Kim lost $3.1 billion due to attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the marketplace’s warehouses , according to estimates by Forbes. At the end of February, when the global billionaires list was compiled, her net worth stood at $8.1 billion, but has now fallen to $5 billion—a 39% decline. The UAF began striking Wildberries’ warehouses on July 18. In addition to Kim, the list of billionaires includes Inteco Management President Elena Baturina, and the majority shareholder of Uralsib Bank Lyudmila Kogan, and Ekaterina Fedun—the daughter of former Lukoil co-owner Leonid Fedun.

The following lost their billionaire status: Tatiana Volodina , co-owner of the “Letual” and “Podruzhka” retail chains; Natalia Lutsenko , co-owner of the “Sodruzhestvo” agricultural holding; Natalia Lutsenko, owner of the “GES-2” Cultural Center Victoria Michelson, co-owner of the “Vulkan” company Lidia Sulteeva and former “PhosAgro” shareholder Tatyana Litvinenko.

The net worth of two women on the list increased: for Lyudmila Kogan—from $1.2 billion to $1.25 billion—and for Tatyana Kovalchuk—from $550 million to $750 million. In addition, the founder of Evalar, Larisa Prokopyeva, returned to the list with a net worth of $450 million. She was last included in the Forbes list of the richest women in 2021.

For the first time, there were no new entrants on the list. The publication attributes this to a decline in stock prices on the Moscow Exchange and a slowdown in the consumer sectors of the economy.
