Ukraine Attacked A "Magnit" Hypermarket In Russia For The First Time

On the night of Friday, August 28, Ukrainian UAVs attacked strategic targets in the Moscow Region of Russia. According to preliminary reports, the strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces caused a fire at the “Magnit” hypermarket in Pavlovsky Posad, writes Dialog.UA after analyzing social media.

Residents of Pavlovsky Posad, located just 65 km east of Moscow, reported hearing the sounds of drones flying, followed by several explosions.

It is alleged that Ukrainian UAVs attacked the “Magnit” hypermarket, which subsequently caught fire.

As of the time of this report, Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov had not yet commented on the situation in Pavlovsky Posad. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin stated that on the night of August 28, Russian air defense forces allegedly shot down two UAVs flying toward the Russian capital.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have not yet attacked any Russian “Magnit” hypermarkets. However, the Russian Federation’s occupying army has recently been actively carrying out massive airstrikes on supermarkets and shopping centers in Ukraine, specifically targeting them—an action that could not go unanswered. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has repeatedly stated that Ukraine will respond appropriately to attacks by Russian occupiers on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure. He has also repeatedly emphasized that the war unleashed by the Kremlin is inevitably returning to Russian territory itself.
