Unique Ground-attack Robots Have Appeared On The Front Lines With The Ukrainian Armed Forces

They possess enhanced firepower.

New domestically produced ground-based robotic strike systems (NRK) equipped with Kalashnikov assault rifles may soon be officially adopted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as testing of these systems has already begun on the front lines.

This was reported the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the new strike UAVs were developed by a company that received a grant for this purpose from the Brave1 cluster. Ukrainian specialists created a prototype in just six months.

The new Ukrainian RPC is equipped with a turret mounting two Kalashnikov-system assault rifles in tandem. This design significantly increases the firepower of the robot, which is intended for defensive operations and assaults on enemy positions.

The system itself is built on a four-wheeled chassis with airless tires and a protected hull. The turret can also be mounted on other chassis and unmanned combat vehicles.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has not disclosed the tactical and technical specifications of the new Ukrainian assault UGV equipped with Kalashnikov assault rifles. Its name is also unknown.

However, the technical and tactical characteristics of Kalashnikov assault rifles are well known, so it is possible to get a rough idea of what this new Ukrainian robot is capable of.

According to information from the Ministry of Defense, the new assault UAV is currently being tested in five units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. For example, in the SBU’s “Alpha” Special Operations Center.
