The Ukrainian Armed Forces Could Repeat The "Crimean Scenario" In Russia

An expert identified the enemy's most vulnerable targets.

It is important for Ukraine not to launch 1,000 drones a day into Russia, but to focus on areas where Russian air defenses are weakest and target the most vulnerable facilities.

This was stated by aviation expert and leading researcher at the State Aviation Museum Valery Romanenko during an appearance on “News Factory”. “You can suppress anything with force and numbers, but for us, given the strikes against our enterprises and manufacturers, that’s not the way to go. We handled Crimea correctly—there, we first neutralized the air defense systems, and only then did we target economic facilities, military units, and anti-aircraft positions, because without radar, they’re just targets. A launcher is a target; any transport-loading vehicle is also a target. It can’t do anything without radar guidance,” the expert said.

In his opinion, the focus now should be on areas where air defense is minimal.

“Although these operations are generally quite complex, we’re not just launching cruise missiles—they’re accompanied by decoys, targets, and drone decoys… We need to focus on the most vulnerable targets. We shouldn’t waste a huge number of drones on Moscow or, say, the surrounding region in areas where it is actively defended. There are many cities; we haven’t yet completely taken out Belgorod, Kursk, or Bryansk,” Romanenko explained.
