Five people were killed, and at least seven others were injured.

Five people were killed and at least seven were injured as a result of a Russian strike on a public bus in the Nikopol district of the Dnipropetrovsk region.

This was reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration (OVA) Oleksandr Hanzha.

“The Russians struck the bus with a drone. Five people were killed on the spot. Seven of the wounded are currently under medical supervision,” he said.

Russian occupiers widely employ the tactic of striking civilian buses and private vehicles. For example, on May 20 of last year in Kherson, Russian forces struck a public bus with a drone. According to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, there were passengers on the bus, five of whom were injured.

The Nikopol district remains one of the areas in the Dnipropetrovsk region that regularly suffers from Russian shelling and drone attacks.

April of this year was particularly severe. On April 4, Russian troops attacked Nikopol with FPV drones, killing five people and wounding 19 others. According to the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, retail pavilions and a store sustained damage.
