A Homemade Pistol With A Laser Sight Was Found On A Belarusian Man

He said he had made the weapon for an unusual purpose.

A homemade pistol chambered for small-caliber ammunition was found in the possession of a villager from the Klichevsky District. According to him, he made the weapon to shoot pigs, reports the State Committee for Forensic Expertise.

At the home of a 60-year-old villager from the Klichevsky District, officers from the Wildlife and Flora Protection Inspectorate discovered 23 rounds of ammunition and an object resembling a pistol. It was sent for forensic examination.

As it turned out, the small-caliber cartridges (5.6 mm) are suitable for firing, as is the single-shot smoothbore pistol, which turned out to be homemade.

“The villager explained that many years ago, when he was a hunter, he bought the cartridges and made the pistol himself to shoot wild boars,” officials at the State Environmental Inspection said.

Judging by the photo, the man adapted a toy laser pointer to serve as a sight—it is visible at the end of the barrel.
A criminal case has been opened for the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
