Ukraine Struck One Of The Largest Oil Refineries In Southern Russia And A Defense Plant In Azov

Ukrainian drones attacked Russia overnight. There were loud noises in Bryansk, and explosions were also heard in the Krasnodar Krai and the Rostov Oblast of the Russian Federation.
Factories and at least one oil refinery were damaged. Details and footage from the scenes were compiled by the Telegram channel Exilenova+.
The Ilsky Oil Refinery has been hit
Exilenova+ began reporting on yet another strike on the Ilsky Oil Refinery, located 50 km from Krasnodar, shortly after 1 a.m.
The channel also posted footage of the fire after the strike, filmed by Russians.
Among the weapons used in the attack last night were rockets: witnesses reported hearing them fly overhead.
Judging by the voice-over comments, Russians were amazed by the number of drones that appeared in the Krasnodar Region last night.
Meanwhile, the governor of the Krasnodar Region, Veniamin Kondratyev, stated that “debris” caused fires at two facilities simultaneously.
“The Afipsky Oil Refinery in the Krasnodar Region was likely also attacked,” Exilenova+ speculated.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine subsequently confirmed the strike—though only on the Ilsk Oil Refinery.
“On the night of September 26, 2026, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in Ilsk, Krasnodar Krai, Russian Federation, struck the ‘Ilsk Oil Refinery.’ A fire was reported on the facility’s grounds,” the statement said.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also noted that Ukraine is carrying out strikes against Russian oil refineries and similar facilities within the framework of its inalienable right to self-defense, guaranteed by Article 51 of the UN Charter. After all, such attacks help reduce the aggressor’s military and economic potential.
The Rostov Region came under attack
Last night, the Rostov Region also came under fire from the Defense Forces. Combat operations took place in several cities across the region, specifically in the city of Azov.
The attack on Azov was confirmed by the local governor, Yuriy Slyusar.
Amid claims of residential buildings and social infrastructure allegedly attacked by Ukraine, he cautiously mentioned damage to “industrial facilities.”
Exilenova+, however, noted that local residents reported an attack on Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant JSC, which manufactures products for the defense industry.
NASA FIRMS also detected a fire near the facility.
Explosions in Bryansk
Explosions were also heard overnight in Bryansk. Something was burning there, too.
Russian air defense systems were actively operating in Bryansk. But, judging by the footage that appeared online, the Russians were hardly overjoyed by the shootdown.
