A Typo On An ATM In Minsk Amused Belarusians

But the oddities didn't end there.

An unusual mistake was spotted on one of Alfa Bank’s ATMs in Minsk. On a sticker listing the addresses of nearby ATMs, Kuibyshev Street had unexpectedly turned into “Kuibyvsheva.” The house number—69—provided users with yet another reason to joke, according to "Onliner".

The photo appeared on Threads and quickly sparked a storm of reactions. The author of the post addressed the bank with the question: “What are you doing? What are you up to?”

People immediately started getting creative with their wit in the comments. “That’s a Freudian slip—I wouldn’t correct it,” wrote one user. Others noted that “everything came together on that street—both Kuibyshev and 69,” while someone else added that it was a good thing they hadn’t messed up the first letter.

“Alfa Bank” itself didn’t stay on the sidelines either. They acknowledged the mistake and responded in the same spirit.

“We screwed up! We’ll fix it—thanks! We hope that everyone who saw this left with a smile and in a good mood,” wrote representatives of the bank.

But the discussion of banking spelling didn’t end there. One user shared a photo from yet another bank. There, a sign above the cash deposit machine read “Premshchik Vyrushki” instead of “Priemshchik Vyrushki.”
