Minsk residents are complaining on Threads about public transportation. According to them, some trolleybuses don’t run on schedule at all—not even when they’re late.

“Minsktrans,” please explain to me why, throughout the year, public transportation in Minsk—specifically trolleybuses No. 29 and No. 61, and bus No. 175—which are scheduled to run, consistently fail to show up? – writes striksy.03. - This is really getting on my nerves. First in the winter—standing there freezing—and now in the fall, after work.

Okay, the bus finally arrived, but with a delay that wasn’t posted on the electronic display or shown on Yandex Maps. But trolleybuses No. 29 and No. 61 really love to skip their stops during the evening rush hour—neither on schedule nor later. It’s simply impossible to get home with three transfers anymore.

I fully understand that there’s a shortage of staff everywhere. But my complaint isn’t that the bus didn’t show up—it’s that we aren’t notified at all that there won’t be any service at all. I would have happily taken a scooter or another form of transportation to a different stop if I’d known, but I wouldn’t have wasted my time and energy.”

Minsk residents supported the author of the post. The website Charter97.org features some comments:

- Yes, our public transit is terrible; buses run every 20 minutes. I take a bus to work with a transfer; the actual ride takes 40–45 minutes. And I spend just as much time waiting at the stops.

- I completely agree about the No. 29 trolleybus.

- The No. 91 bus runs like that all the time—on its own schedule.

- “Minsktrans,” do you want us to walk to work? Is this just your way of looking out for our health?
