The Ukrainian Armed Forces Have Made Advances In Several Regions At Once

ISW analysts have revealed the details.

Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Defense Forces were able to advance in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Furthermore, they thwarted several offensive operations by the Russian Federation’s army.

This was reported by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

Kharkiv Oblast

Ukrainian forces recently advanced or continued to hold positions in the north of the Kharkiv Oblast. According to information from one of the Ukrainian units, the Defense Forces repelled Russian attacks near Odradne, located east of Kharkiv. This may indicate that the settlement remains under Ukrainian control, despite Russian claims that it has been captured.

The Ukrainian military also continues to strike Russian military targets in the occupied part of the region.

At the same time, Russian troops continued offensive operations in the Kupiansk sector. However, according to the ISW, there is no confirmation of their advance.

On the Borova sector on September 3 and 4, the Russian Federation’s army also conducted limited offensive operations but was unsuccessful. Ukrainian forces carried out successful counterattacks. According to Russian military bloggers, the area between Redkodub and Novoye, southeast of Borova, remains contested territory where fighting continues.

Donetsk Oblast

Ukrainian forces recently advanced east of Slavyansk. This comes amid attempts by the Russian military to establish control over tactical high ground in the area, which could create more favorable conditions for a subsequent offensive on Slavyansk.

Geolocated video footage released on September 3 indicates a possible advance by Ukrainian troops. They show Russian forces attacking Ukrainian positions in the northwestern part of Rai-Oleksandrivka, located east of Sloviansk.

Meanwhile, on September 4, a Russian military blogger claimed that Nikonovka, southeast of Slavyansk, had allegedly been captured. There is no confirmation of this information.

In the direction of Konstantinovka-Druzhkivka, Russian troops continued offensive operations on September 3 and 4 but were unable to advance. Ukrainian forces are holding positions that complicate the Russian army’s attempts to advance toward Konstantinovka and within the city itself.

Russian troops also continued their offensive in the Pokrovsk direction, but achieved no confirmed successes on September 3 and 4.

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

Ukrainian troops recently broke through in the direction of Novopavlivka. According to geolocated footage published on September 3, the Defense Forces advanced west of Kotlyarivka, located just east of Novopavlivka.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

On September 3 and 4, Russian forces continued offensive operations in the Huliaipole direction, as well as in the western part of Zaporizhzhia Oblast. At the same time, no confirmed instances of Russian forces advancing in these areas have been recorded.
