Ukrainian FP-1 Drones Destroyed Oil Depots And S-400 Air Defense Systems In Sochi

Fire Point revealed details of the operation.

Air strike on military and strategic targets in Sochi in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai on the night of September 4 was carried out by the Ukrainian Defense Forces using FP-1 drones.

The Ukrainian company Fire Point reported this on its social media account on X.

According to Fire Point, on September 4, Ukrainian drones attacked a Lukoil oil depot in Sochi, an oil depot on the grounds of Adler Airport, as well as an S-400 air defense missile system, which is capable of shooting down aircraft and missiles at a range of up to 400 km.

The Lukoil oil depot in Sochi is very large. It has 12 fuel tanks with a total capacity of over 8,400 cubic meters.

The S-400 air defense system protected strategic facilities in the Sochi area, primarily the seaport and oil depots. Consequently, Ukrainian drones first destroyed the S-400 and then struck Russian oil infrastructure facilities.

The governor of the Krasnodar Krai Veniamin Kondratyev acknowledged that the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strikes on oil depots in Sochi were successful. According to him, “debris from the UAVs caused a fire at the oil depot,” which could lead to fuel shortages in the resort city.
