Trump's Special Envoys Have Arrived In Moscow
Jared Kushner and Steve Whitcoff

An American government aircraft landed at Vnukovo Airport.

A business jet carrying U.S. presidential special envoys Steve Whitcoff and Jared Kushner has landed at Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport, according to "Interfax".

The state news agency TASS published a video of the motorcade arranged to welcome the American representatives. “The U.S. special flight, a Boeing C-32A, departed from Miami International Airport [in Florida], then made a stopover in Helsinki at around 9:00 a.m. Moscow time, and has now continued its flight and crossed into Russian airspace,” a source told the agency.

Axios, citing Ukrainian and American officials, reported that on September 5, Whitcoff and Kushner will hold talks with Vladimir Putin in Moscow, and on the 6th—with Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv.

As Trump himself told reporters on September 4, the special envoys are taking a proposal to end the war to Moscow and Kyiv. “We have an idea on how to achieve peace. We’ve sent them there to see if we can make any progress, and it’s quite possible that we’ll succeed,” the U.S. leader said.

Commenting on growing concern in the West that Russian President Vladimir Putin might attack a NATO country to test the alliance’s resolve, Trump reiterated his view that he himself does not believe in such plans.

The latest round of trilateral talks between Russia, Ukraine, and the U.S. took place on February 17–18, 2026, in Geneva. The next meeting was scheduled for March 5 in Abu Dhabi, but it was postponed after the U.S. and Israel went to war with Iran.
