Belarus to supply arms to Arabic Emirates «on hundreds millions dollars»?

Viktar Sheiman, the Security Council of Belarus State Secretary is making the official visit to the United Arabic Emirates. The directions of trade-economic and military-technical cooperation were in the focus of attention during the negotiations between the Belarusian official and the country’s official personalities. Concerning the military-technical cooperation, Viktar Sheiman said to BelTA that “there are good contracts, already concluded and scheduled to be concluded in the nearest time on hundreds millions dollars”.

During his visit Viktar Sheiman met with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the General Stuff Chief of the UAE Armed Forces Mohammed Thani Al Rumaiti.

The United Arabic Emirates were also interested in investment to Belarusian oil-refinery enterprises and their modernization.

“Belarus is interested in oil supplies and refinery, interested in Emirate’s capital to come to our country and help to modernize our enterprises. It is our top-priority and strategic objective”, - Viktar Sheiman said to state agency BelTA.
