Spontaneous strike at Nyoman plant

Untimely wage payment at Byaroza glass plant “Nyoman” has caused a spontaneous strike of workers.

In line with the collective treaty workers are to receive payment before the 16th day of every minth.

However workers received money for September with a week’s pause, only after they announced a local strike and refused to carry out their duties. In a few hours the administration transferred money, and workers started work, Radio Racyja informs.

The administration of Nyoman glass plant, as well as the trade union branch, denies comments. They explain their silence saying that they cannot distribute information concerning financial state of the enterprise without an order from higher authorities.
