Shares of Belarusian enterprises sold to unknown buyers

The Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE) registered dealing on purchasing shares of Belarusian enterprises by Harvest Invest Group.
30.8 per cent stake in Brest Plant of Household Chemicals and 49.26 per cent stake in Elma Brest Hosiery have been purchased, an official report of the BCSE says.
Harvest Invest Group bought 16987 shares of Brest Plant of Household Chemicals (30.8 per cent of the authorised fund) at Br1977.6 mln. Shares were sold at par - Br116240 per one.
Shares of Elma were also bought at par, Br13194 per one, by Harvest Invest Group. The BCSE registered buy/sell transactions at Br1847.16 mln. After this deal, Harvest Invest Group owns 231760 shares, or 49.26 per cent of the authorised fond, of the company.
The Brest Plant of Household Chemicals is one of the biggest producers of perfumery and household chemicals in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The enterprise was founded in 1970.
Elma Brest Hosiery, founded in 1940, is one of the biggest enterprises of the Belarusian light industry.
As Interfax reports, the Department for Paper Holdings of the Ministry of Finance couldn’t give any information about Harvest Invest Group and its activity in Belarus.
Administration of Elma company refused to comment on shares sale.
According to AFN, Harvest Investment Group, founded in 2002, is an American investment company with specialisation in broker and dealer activity, and real property business with a head quarter in Atlanta US). According to progressivechurchatl.org, Harvest Investment Group is an external organisation of the Progressive Church in Atlanta, and is comprised mainly of members of this religious organisation.
