4

An activist of “For Freedom” movement Yauhen Mikulich from Klyotsk has addressed the prosecutor’s office with a request to defend his family from threats and illegal actions by local policemen.

On November 10 at 11 a.m. Yauhen Mikulich accidentally met a forensics analyst of Klyots regional police department Syarhei Kastsykevich. As the coordinator of “For Freedom” movement in Klyotsk district Syarhei Panamarou said, the policemen in a rude and offensive manner threatened Yauhen Mikulich saying that his life and life of his family would become unbearable.

According to Syarhei Panamarou, the nervous reaction of the policeman is connected with the fact that the prosecutor’s office is carrying out a check of Mikulich’s statement, after the activist was fingerprinted.

In the end of October a police women threatened Yauhen Mikulich to fine the activist 6 basic units and administrative arrest in case he would refuse to be fingerprinted. A military commissar Zmitser Hardun was present at that moment. All these facts were listed in the appeal to the prosecutor of Klyotsk district U. Karabok.

Yauhen Mikulich immediately filed an application to the prosecutor’s office after the meeting with the policeman. He asks to defend him from threats and illegal actions by local policemen.
