The Belarusian ruler discussed the current situation in the country amid the financial crisis.

Those who can’t work in critical conditions must be replaced, Alyaksandr Lukashenka said during a meeting with prime minister Syarhei Sidorski and board chairman of the National Bank Pyotr Prakapovich.

“Officials have become too impudent. Those who can’t work in critical conditions must be replaced. We do not have many such ministers, but if we see they can’t cope with their duties or have no desire t work, we should give other people an opportunity to try. I am telling this not because our country is in the state of emergency. It is wise to be prepared for the worst now, as we always do,” the Belarusian ruler said.

To perform the set tasks, A. Lukashenka ordered the government and the National Bank to use any methods, any officials, any structures to sell our products and not to lose markets.

“The main thing is to preserve the enterprises by all means. In no case should we dismiss people in the connection with the so called global crisis. In no case, no one must be thrown out to street as it is happening in the neighbouring countries. We can’t throw people out to streets,” he told.

Lukashenka also said he is going to focus on work of Belarusian enterprises first of all on selling of products in the end of the year and in the begging of the next year. “I will notice everything begging from storage facilities, what an enterprise produce, how it sells its productions. I won’t accept complaints it is difficult to sell production today. Government and all power bodies must transfer to the regime of the ministry of trade. The government must become the ministry of trade, figuratively speaking,” he emphasised.
