Anatol Zmitrovich, head of the coordinating council of individual entrepreneurs of Svetlahorsk, was detained 30 kilometres from the town on 27 February, BelaPAN informs.
The activist and two more entrepreneurs were going by minibus to Minsk for Iryna Kazulina’s funeral. “The entrepreneurs have arranged that every town will be represented at the funeral. We were to meet near the Red Church in Minsk at 11am,” A. Zmitrovich said.
They were stopped by GAI (road militia) officers. “They had a long conversation with their chiefs via radio set. Finally they said I allegedly should come to the Svetlahorsk internal affairs department today. But I didn’t receive any summons and wasn’t invited anywhere to. Moreover, they suspect our driver was drunk, so he must take medical examination,” the activist of the entrepreneurs’ movement said. Zmitrovich informed that the three entrepreneurs “will be guarded back to Svetlahorsk, to the militia department.”
According to BelaPAN, Alyaksandr Tsatsura, coordinator of the campaign “For Free Development of Business” on Salihorsk (Minsk Region), his wife Tamara and son Illya are being guarded to the court of the Minsk District and town Zaslauye.
According to the activist, a militia car was staying near his house since 7am. “A militiaman came to us and said they must guard me, my wife and son to the court,” A. Tsatsura said. It was an order of Afonski, judge of the Minsk District and Zaslauye.
A. Tsatsura and his family are to have trial at 3pm on 27 February. But he and other seven entrepreneurs were going to attend Iryna Kazulina’s funeral in Minsk, and then come to court. A. Tsatsura, his family and associates are moving to Minsk under militia escort now.
