Israeli- Belarusian economic relations are not at a proper level. This opinion has been expressed by tFirst secretary of Israeli embassy to Belarus Igal Koyfman.
The diplomat delivered a speech in Minsk communities’ house in the framework of the Day of Jewish knowledge “Hevruta” on March 9.
A representative of Israeli Embassy noted that no political or state obstacles for development of economic cooperation with Belarus on the part of Israel. “We have signed 14 agreements with this country, including economic ones, and they have been ratified by parliaments of Belarus and Israel. Unfortunately, Belarus isn’t the most interesting place for Israeli businessmen still. They have very many alternatives for investment,” I. Koifman said.
He informed that a visit of a Belarusian delegation headed by Economy Minister Mikalay Zajchanka to Israel is expected on March 24.
In his turn, Asaf Brakha, a consul of the Embassy, noted that in order to persuade Israeli entrepreneurs to make investment in some country, they are to be offered something which cannot be offered in another place. “We hope very much that in the near future such proposals would appear in Belarus,” the diplomat said.
