“I’ll go on hunger strike even if it leads to my death...”

Svyatlana Dvaraninava, an entrepreneur from Vitsebsk, has the 59th day of hunger strike in a pretrial detention center, and dreams to obtain justice.
He has written a complaint to the Presidential Administration “on rendering help in observance my rights for defence, guaranteed by the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus and criminal procedure laws, when processing of complaints in the exercise of supervisory power of the Supreme Court of the Republics of Belarus,” newspaper «Narodnaya Volya» reports.
“In the connection with the fact, when conducting the criminal procedure, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus has violated my rights for defence, guaranteed by the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus and criminal procedure laws, which has made impossible and senseless further complaining against unlawful accusation and sentence, passed on me by the Kastrychnitski district court of Vitsebsk in accordance with the procedure established by law, 27.02.08 I had to impose a hunger strike as a protest against such conducting the criminal procedure. I continue the hunger strike now and won’t stop it until my problem is solved, even if it leads to my death,” the entrepreneur wrote.
It should be reminded that the case of a head of a Belarusian private firm was instituted on the fact late payment of a sum of some thousands dollars, and ended with 8-year imprisonment of the woman, who has two children. As Svyatlana Dvaraninava said, she had been accused of deceitful practices and theft, though the investigation hadn’t proved any counts of embezzlement for personal use.
