Lyabedzka warned

Chairman of the United Civil Party (UCP) Anatol Lyabedzka got an administrative warning for violation of the border regime.

As the politician told in an interview to BelaPAN, he was detained at 2.00 pm on 18 July in Ashmyany (the Hrodna Region), where he planned to meet with a democratic candidate for parliamentary elections.

Officers of the Ashmyany district militia department explained to Lyabedzka he was detained in the relation with the information of Ashmyany dweller about unknown people, who visited houses. “as it was found out later, it was a tepephone call of an official of Ashmyany city executive committee. In such a way she reacted to appearance of address of candidates to the electorate in her mailbox,” A. Lyabedzka noted.

The politician also said he was kept in the Ashmyany militia department for three hours, and then guarded to a special commandant’s office of border troops. An administrative report on article 32.30 for violation of border regime was drawn up against Lyabedzka. “as a result, the chief of Ashmyany border guard detachment gave me a warning and ordered to leave the border zone till 11.00 pm,” the UCP leader said.

He also told similar warning was given to representative of the youth UCP organisation Mikola Serhienka. Besides, candidate for running in elections Ivan Kruk and head of his initiative group Mikola Ulasevich were obliged to give explanations.
