BPF party leader asks Yakubovich to publish conversation with LGB (Audio)

Head of the Belarusian Popular Front party Lyavon Barshcheuski wrote a letter to Pavel Yakubovich, editor of “Savetskaya Belarusiya” newpaperr, asking him to publish a conversation of Alyaksandr Mekh with Kobryn KGB officers.

“Dear Mr Pavel! An active stage of the electoral campaign for the “house of representatives” has begun. The Belarusian and European communities are keeping a close eye on the process, if it is free and affair for all its participants.

An incident in Kobryn, when Alyaksandr Mekh, PF member and candidate for deputy of the “house of representatives”, was fired, is outrageous. There are lines hat can’t be trespassed even by those who consider themselves to be untouchable, at least in the so called “village” district.

I offer to publish transcript of the conversation between the politician and Uladzimir Halashko, head of the Kobryn department of cross-country pipeline Beltransgaz, and Kobryn KGB head Andrei Basko, which took place before Alayskadnr Mekh was dismissed. By this you will demonstrate that candidates have access to state press, and the main thing, you will promote the revival of justice,” the letter of the BPF party head says, Radio Svaboda reports.
