Football under white-red-white flags (Photo)

On August 16-17 a neighbourhood football teams’ tournament was held in the town of Barysau (Minsk region) by a youth centre “Volat”. Prizes had been provided by the civil campaign “European Belarus”.

7 teams took part in the tournament. The winner that received the cup was the team “Bastion”. Medals were given to the winning teams.

This tournament is held since the year 2000, and has become a tradition. As told by the organisers, “it is obvious that the tournament is growing, and professional skills of players are growing as well. In the future it is planned to hold an international tournament of youth neighbourhood football teams”.
