Zyanon Paznyak: “Situation is very dangerous”

The results of the meeting of Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Dmitry Medvedev in Sochi have been commented by the leader of the Conservative Christian party Belarusian Popular Front Zyanon Paznyak:

“The events in Sochi were a surprise for nobody. This is forcing Lukashenka to agree to deploy Russian troops and missiles to Belarus. It is a part of the occupational plan which had been developed at the same time when the Blitzkrieg against Georgia was planned. It is a creation of a “legitimate” parliament, troops’ deployment, pressure on the West… And it threatens a real loss of Belarus’ independence. The situation is very dangerous. And what has happened in Sochi, has brought into light the tendencies how Russia would fulfil its plan. In the long run; it is able to do in Belarus the same thing it has done in Georgia. Belarusians should know that and remember about that, as only our resistance could prevent that,” Zyanon Paznyak said in an interview to Radio Svaboda.
