Lyabedzka ready to make compromise with authorities

The democratic forces should not only to oppose themselves to the authorities, but also seek for a compromise with them, leader of the United Civil Party Anatol Lyabedzka thinks.

According to A. Lyabedzka, being an MP candidate he has little chances to win a seat in the “house of representatives”, taking into consideration his political biography. However, the politician believes it is time for the democratic forces to express their principal position of opposing the authorities not only inside the country, but also abroad.

“We should seek for a compromise with the authorities, but not share their policy. The authorities should also propose constructive suggestions. A decision on withdrawal democratic candidates today or adoption of decisions on this by different bodies will be wrong,” Lyabedzka said at the enlarged session of the Political Council of the opposition partiers on August 31.

A. Lyabedzka thinks boycotting the election may turn the democratic forces into dissident movement.
