Salary of “MPs” ten times higher than ones of workers

On August 30, data on total income and property of MP candidates in the Baranavichy rural election district #7 were published in the 67th issue of the state-run newspaper “Lyakhavitski Vesnik”.
UCP member, mechanic of the Baranavichy Cotton Mills Ryhor Hryk and acting “MP” Uladzimir Maisyuk are running in the election.
If Hryk’s total income for 2007 is 5.155.955 rubles (approximately 200 dollars per month), “MP” Uladzimir Maisyuk has tenfold higher income - 41.876.147 (more than 1.600 dollars per month), the campaign “Human Rights Activists for Free Election” reports.
