Head of Administration of Lukashenka Uladzimir Makei may pay an official visit to Warsaw in the nearest time.
The administration head is invited by the Chancellery of the Polish Prime Minister. The Polish MFA press service says the programme of Uladzimir Makei’s visit hasn’t been prepared so far, Radio Racyja reports.
Former member of the European Parliament, one of the founders of Polish Solidarity movement Janusz Onyszkiewicz think official Minks has made moderate steps for the last 18 months: registration of the “For Freedom” movement and permission of spreading two independent newspapers. A dialogue is when both sides make steps forwards, but not when only the European Union makes concessions, the politician believes.
“I don’t approve such visits. Belarus should first change the situation with democratization of the country. Fundamental changes are needed. I think the European Union and Poland, unlike Belarus, do too much. But is a visit is planned, an official should understand that steps in response to EU steps must be made. It should also be understood that West doesn’t see positive moves.“
