In an interview to charter97.org website, one of the leaders of the Belarusian Popular Front Party has urged Belarusians to realize their responsibility for fates of their country in the run-up to the presidential elections.
“I wish all Belarusians, myself and my family the year 2010 to become better than 2009,” Vintsuk Vyachorka said to charter97.org. “And the most important thing for Belarus is to have more freedom and truth. Only then we would have more prosperity”.
In the run-up to the presidential election Vintsuk Vyachorka expects the Belarusian political forces would be able to overcome the split caused by secret services.
“In the first place I am expecting from my supporters in the fight for free Belarus to overcome illusions and splits caused by Lukashenka’s secret services. One should fight for freedom and truth,” the politician noted.
Vyachorka is convinced that in 2010 Belarusians should realize their responsibility for the future of the country, as the current regime is unequipped for any kind of changes.
“I can say exactly what we shouldn’t count upon in 2010 at all. We cannot expect improvement and liberalization from the people who are not able for changes physiologically. This regime is unable for changes. We should count upon the nation’s realization of its responsibility for the future of the country, as other countries which moved from dictatorship to democracy had become aware of that once,” Vintsuk Vyachorka said.
