Lukashenka: “Consultative council is not a parliamentary platform for pushing dirty ideas”

22

Alyaksandr Lukashenka said members of newly created Public Consultative Council, among them oppositionists, should work out business proposals and not push “dirty ideas”.

“Well, let it be a council. Come, talk, make your suggestions. But if one thinks it will be a parliamentary platform suitable for shouting and pushing dirty ideas, it is a mistake,” A. Lukashenka told journalists in Lida (the Hrodna region).

According to him, “it may be only a meaningful conversation and a meaningful council.” “If you criticise, speak to the question,” the head of state suggested.

Commenting on the results of the first session of the Public Consultative Council, A. Lukashenka asked: “What new and great did you learn from opposition? I learnt nothing.”

It should be reminded that some decorative “councils” with participation of different experts have been created at Lukashenka’s administration to demonstrate the so called liberalization.
