Participant of the Process of 14 is sentenced to restraint of liberty without sending him to open type facilities.

A prosecutor demanded for Maksim Dashuk 1.5 years of restraint of liberty without sending to open type facilities taking into account the unserved part of his previous sentence on the base on article 70 of the Criminal Code. The prosecutor referred to mitigating circumstances – the minority status of the accused and his father’s death, spring96.org reports.

The sentence to Maksim Dashuk was given by judge of the Maskouski district Kuznyatsova: one year and three months of restraint of liberty without sending to open type facilities.

The political prisoner will begin serving sentence of a year and three months of restraint of liberty on the entry of the judgement into force.

Maksim Dashuk, participant of the Process of 14, was accused of violation of the rules of serving punishment (article 415 of the Criminal Code).

On the day the accused was presented, February 23, Maksim Dashuk was guarded to the Minsk pre-trial detention facility, but on the following day the prosecutor changed the measure of restraint to release on own recognizance.

Law enforcement bodies state Dashuk has some notices for violation of the rules of serving punishment of house arrest. He received all notices for being out at proper time.

In 2008, Maksim Dashuk was sentenced to 1.5 years of restraint of liberty for participation in protest rallies of entrepreneurs.

Amnesty International human rights organization recognized the participants of the Process of 14 Prisoners of Conscience.
