Belarusian authorities forbid selling dangerous Russian products

11 types of substandard Russian and Latvian products have been removed from sale in Belarus.

According to a representative of the Republican Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health, mainly tinned fish and fish products fail to meet security standards.

The Republican Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health, tinned fish produced by Russian Novatekh, Pishchevik fish farm, Kreon, fish of Russian Vostok Import and First Smolensk Producing Company didn’t meet standards of smell, taste and appearance , BelaPAN reports.

Besides, Russian yoghurts and meat dumplings were found unfit for use. The colon bacillus was found in two lots of yoghurt product “Nezhny” produced by Kampina company and the salmonella was found in “Studencheskie” meat dumplings produced by Frozen Semifinished Products Factory (St Petersburg).

Tinned fish of Latvian Kolumbija company and Inko Fish were removed from sales.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus is going to check Russian and European milk products on presence of antibiotics in them. This was told by minister of agriculture and food Syamyon Shapira.

“I’m not going to wield the sabre and shout we’ll close the market. We will show our colleagues that the amount of antibiotics should be reduced,” Syamyon Shapira said.
