Besides, ideologists should act more artfully, believes the deputy head of Lukashenka’s administration.
Natalya Pyatkevich told that on February 17 during the seminar of ideology workers of Minsk region, BelTA informs.
Political and economic culture of Belarusians has grown, and as a result their attitude to life and surrounding world has become more critical. In this connection methods of ideology should be changed as well, they shouldn’t be prohibitive. They should act “finer, wiser, more artfully” Natalya Pyatkevich said.
“An informal approach is needed. The time of slogans has passed. We should be guided by life, follow needs of people. If they need information, we should provide it, otherwise they would receive it from other sources,” Natalya Pyatkevich noted, underlining that problems “should not be hushed”. “Let ideology services be the original source of information, not oppositional websites,” she added.
The first deputy head of Lukashenka’s administration also believes that many ideology workers are still working applying the same methods as in the old times. In particular, an analysis planned for the 65th anniversary of Victory in Salihorsk and Barysau regions has demonstrated that the methods are almost the same as they were for the 60th anniversary of the Victory, the 65th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation. Creative work is lacking, Natalya Pyatkevich is convinced.
Improvements are to be made in the common informing days. They should not be limited to preparation of informational materials, a meaningful and businesslike talk concerning the present situation in the organisation or at the enterprise is needed, including answers to the questions of people. “Our problem is formalism. We forget about daily work with people because of that. We should be guided by daily life,” Natalya Pyatkevich noted.
As informed by BelTA agency, “at the seminar much was said about work with the youth, about how to attract young people to youth organisations, how their leisure time should be filled. Topics of trade union movement, patriotic education, mass media work, websites of district, city and regional executive committees were touched upon”.
