The activist of the Union of Poles, sentenced to five days of arrest, wasn’t able to meet her wife from maternity hospital.

Andrzej Poczobut’s son was born on February 12, three days before his arrest. His wife Aksana was discharged from hospital yesterday. As Aksana Poczobut told charter97.org

Andrzej Poczobut is to be released tomorrow. “I don’t know the exact time when Andrzej will be released. Son, daughter and I will be waiting for our dad from morning,” Aksana Poczobut said.

We remind that leaders of the Union of Poles Andrzej Poczobut, Igor Bancer, and Mieczyslaw Jaskiewicz were sentenced to five days of administrative arrest by the court of the Leninski district of Hrodna on February 15. They were found guilty of organizing a meeting on February 10 to support the Ivyanets branch of the Union of Poles, pressed by the authorities.
