Negative balance of foreign merchandise trade in Belarus achieved $3,51 billion

And these are data only for 6 months. Taking into account July, negative balance is higher.
Negative balance of the foreign merchandise trade in Belarus in the first half of 2010 made up 3510,0 mln. USD against 3889,2 mln. USD in the first half of 2009, informs AFN (Agency of Financial News) with reference to Belstat (National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus).
In June negative balance made up 787,6 mln. USD against 659,1 mln. USD in May, 827 mln. USD in April, 767,3 mln. USD in March, 440,5 mln. USD in February and 28,5 mln. USD in January of 2010.
The volume of foreign merchandise trade in January-June of 2010 made up 26002,8 mln. USD, increasing on 17,8% in comparison to January-June of 2009. Commodity import increased on 13,7% upto 14756,4 mln. USD, export - on 23,7% upto 11246,4 mln. USD.
Negative balance in trade of Belarus with CIS countries made up 3040,4 mln. USD (against 4274,5 mln. USD January-June of 2009), in trade with Russia - 3657,1 mln. USD (against 4610,7 mln. USD). Negative balance find place also in trade with countries beyond CIS, which made up 469,6 mln. USD (at the same time in the previous year it was positive in the amount of 385,3 mln. USD).
