A former speaker of the Lithuanian parliament, the leader of the National Resurrection Party, Arūnas Valinskas, as an exemplary politician, placed a photograph of President Dalia Grybauskaite in his office.
However it is not an official portrait of the leader of the state, but an ironic photo collage.
Last year this image was published by one of magazines; it happened when Alyaksandr Lukashenka was on the visit in Lithuania, ru.DELFI.lt reports with a reference to Lietuvos rytas.
Grybauskaite is depicted beside Lukashenka against the background of the Belarusian flag.
Valinskas did not want to explain why that photo collage was placed on the wall of his office.
It is not excluded that the leader of the National Resurrection Party was “to bite his tongue” for more anger not to be spilled out on the representative of the party, Environment Protection Minister Gediminas Kazlauskas.
However, according to information of the newspaper, Valinskas merrily explained to his colleagues that, as every politician, he placed a portrait of the president in his office out of respect.
