Trials over the detained during the silent protest on July 3 are held in the courts of Minsk.
Hearings of the case are held in the courts of Maskouski, Kastrychnitski, Savetski, Frunzenski districts. Considering the large number of the detained, it is not excluded that the cases are to be examined in other courts of Minsk.
According to information from human rights watchdogs, the first verdicts are as following: Andrei Tkachou has been sentenced to 10 days in prison, Andrei Hlinisty, S. Salikovich, Andrei Haloukin – to 5 days in prison, Viktoryja Bandarenka, Aleh Hermanenka and Yauhen Ignatchyk – to 10 days of imprisonment, Vitaly Abramau – 8 days of arrest.
According to the recent reports of human rights activists, during the silent protest rally on Independence Day in Minsk about 390 persons were detained: at least 210 in Minsk and about 180 in the regions.
