Homel police threw flowers in memory of terrorist attack victims to rubbish bin

No official events on occasion of the anniversary of the terrorist attack in the Minsk metro were carried out in Homel on April 11.
A few public and democratic activists tried to honour the memory of the blast victims, BelaPAN reports.
The regional leader of For Freedom movement, Pyotr Kuznyatsou, and some bloggers came with flowers and oil lamps to the Zero Kilometre Stone on Lenin Square, where the local youth gathered to held a similar action year ago. Their flowers were later thrown to the rubbish bin and a riot police patrol appeared at the stone. Policemen remained there till 7:30 pm not allowing to held any actions.
An oil lamp and a note “To the memory of the victims of the Minsk metro bombing of 11.04.2011. Remember, mourn” was left near the Eternal Flame by a group of young people. Policemen arrived to the monument two minutes later. All oil lamps and the note disappeared. Homel-based activist of Tell the Truth campaign Valery Slyapukhin left an oil lamp near Eternal Flame.
