Mikalai Statkevich thanks Demi Moore for solidarity

The political prisoner replied to the Hollywood star's letter with words of support.

It was written on Mikalai Statkevich's account on Facebook.

“I'd like to thank Demi Moore for her letter. By the way, the most pleasant thing was that I understood it every word. My English classes were not senseless. However, the text was easy to understand, of course,” the post reads.

Hollywood star Demi Moore met with leader of European Belarus civil campaign Andrei Sannikov in late April at the Sedona Forum organised by the McCain Institute. She supported Belarusian political prisoners and signed a postcard for Mikalai Statkevich. “Mikalai, stay strong – you are not forgotten! Zhyvie Belarus!” Demi Moore wrote.
