Vitaut Times ‘Troy’ May Be Discovered Near Lida

Lida ethnographers made a sensational statement.

Valer Sliukin, editor of the independent magazine Lidski Chronicler, made a sensational statement the other day. Previously, he also supported the existing hypothesis that the historic Astrouski Agreement of August 4, 1392 was signed near the village of Myta, which is in the Lida district, Radio Racyja reports.

As is known, as a result, the Hrodna prince Vitaut became the ruler of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The information was revealed thanks to the find of the owner of the agro tourism estate “Mytnianski Trakt” Viktar Auhustsin. The owner of the estate says:

- I heard earlier that in this place, near the village of Myta, there was an estate in which an agreement was signed in favor of Vitaut. I was there on a fishing trip. The river Ditva flows there. The place is marshy. In one year the coasts were washed away by the heavy rain. I looked, there were some remnants of a structure - a brick, a foundation. Many there found coins from different countries.

Meanwhile, local history expert, historian Valer Sliukin believes that the search for an exact place of making the Astrouski Agreement is the same as the search for the ruined Troy by the Romans.
