Belarusians Honored Memory Of Heavenly Hundred Hero Mikhail Zhyzneuski

Dozens of people came under white-red-white flags.

Several dozen activists honored the memory of Hero of Ukraine Mikhail Zhyzneuski in the cemetery near the village of Stsiah Pratsy in Homel region, Radio Racyja reports.

Representatives of the democratic community of Homel and members of the Razam Solidarity Movement laid wreaths and flowers at the grave of Belarusian citizen killed on the barricades of Euromaidan.

Valentina Logvin, a member of the Ukrainian diaspora, emphasizes that the freedom of the people costs a lot. "Even God can't make you free and happy, forgive me, I don't want to offend the feelings of believers. Only we can make it. And Mikhail, and all those who gave their lives at Maidan, and all those who have gathered here, are doing everything they can," - the activist said.

According to Homel politician Uladzimir Katsora, Homel region gave Belarus a lot of fighters, including Mikhail Zhyzneuski. "There are other heroes in Homel land, whom we remember. This is Poluta Baudunova, this is Tsimafei Vostrykau, this is Ryhor Klimovich. We'll remember and look up to them. God help us to remain persistent in our struggle for Belarus," - Katsora said.

Homel citizen Mikhail Zhyzneuski died from a bullet in the heart on Hrushevski Street in Kiev on January 22, 2014. The Ukrainian state posthumously awarded him the Order of Hero of the Heavenly Hundred and the title of Hero of Ukraine.
