"More Than 100 X-Rays Per Day": Another Town Became COVID-19 Hot Zone In Belarus

A coronavirus outbreak has occurred in Ushachy, Vitsebsk region.

Yesterday it was reported that several cases of COVID-19 had been confirmed in Ushachy, Vitsebsk region, the infected residents had been admitted to the district hospital. One of them contacted the Basta telegram channel and gave details:

"I am staying in the infectious diseases department of the Ushachy central district hospital. At the moment there are seven people in the ward with confirmed coronovirus. Another one has already been discharged. I can't say exactly how many people are staying in the therapy with pneumonia. I know there are a lot.

The medics are doing great. More than 100 X-rays are taken in a day in the clinic, the X-ray machine overheats, they have to turn it off and wait until it cools down.

The Ushachy district sanitary-epidemiological service told Basta that only two new cases of coronavirus infection have been discovered.

"They have been confirmed by laboratory. Both patients had previously been treated for pneumonia in the district hospital. Now 1 and 2 level contacts of these citizens are being established," - the sanitary-epidemiological service reported.
