200 Applicants At MIA Academy Are Beyond Passing Grades

Losers and underachievers tend to get into the Belarusian police.

According to Minister of Education of Belarus Andrei Ivanets, shortfall in admission to universities in Belarus amounted to 214 places (less than 1%), while the plan for enrollment in the force institutes of higher education was implemented.

"If we talk about our applicants, I would like to point out that this year the number of state-funded places in our higher education institutions amounted to almost 28,000. If we talk about the shortfall, it was only 214 places. That tells us that it is less than 1% of all the places. All our power block educational institutions have filled the enrolment in full," the Minister told the BT propaganda channel.

At the Interior Ministry Academy, more than 200 applicants remained outside the passing grades. However, the minister said that this is a reserve that can be used for admission next year.
